D.Y. Whitaker

D.Y. Whitaker, age 94, of London, Kentucky passed away Sunday, April 1, 2018 at his residence. He was the father of Gary Whitaker and wife Wanda, Ronald Whitaker and wife Beulah, Charles Whitaker and wife Mary, Eddie Whitaker and wife Glenda, and Calene House and husband John M. all of London, Kentucky; the brother of Hattie Boegel and Rainie Fugate both of London, Kentucky. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law, Mary Sue Whitaker of London, Kentucky. He was also blessed with twelve grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ona (Young) Whitaker; by one daughter, Evelyn Whitaker; by one son, Craig Whitaker; by his parents, George Whitaker and Rose (Henson) Whitaker; by one great grandchild; by several brothers and sisters. Funeral services for D.Y. Whitaker will be conducted Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 12:00 noon in London Funeral Home Chapel with George Poynter and Mark Poynter officiating. Burial will follow at Warrens Grove Cemetery. The family of D.Y. Whitaker will receive friends at London Funeral Home after 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3, 2018. Serving as pallbearers are: Scott House, Steven House, Michael Whitaker, Chris Carmicle, Zane Carmicle, Logan Whitaker, Landon Whitaker, Roger Couch, and Mike Pavone.Read Obituary
