Earl Salyers Jr. age 79, husband of Katherine Salyers of London, Kentucky passed away Thursday, May 03, 2018 at his residence. He was united in marriage to his first wife, Vermell (Napier) Salyers who preceded him in death. He was the father of Betty Proffitt and husband Ernie of Florence, Indiana, Judy Robinson and husband Gary, Alene Petree and husband Steve, Earl Dwayne Salyers and wife Mandy, Desaray Hood and husband Stephen, and Kandace Salyers, all of London, Kentucky, the brother of Mary Proffitt and husband Don, Goldie Bowling and husband John, Sally Grimes and husband Ralph, Pete Salyers and wife Charlene, Casey Salyers and Denise, all of London, Kentucky, the step-father of Kathy Overbey, Melissa Campbell and husband Randy, and Stanley Wade Goforth all of London, Kentucky. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and five step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Salyers Sr. and Edna Begley Salyers, and by one daughter, Linda Salyers. He was a coal miner and a member of Colony Holiness Church. Funeral Services for Earl Salyers Jr. will be conducted 4:00 PM Sunday, May 06, 2018 in London Funeral Home Chapel with George Poynter, Jerry Holland, Steve Mullins and Garnett Tuttle officiating. Burial will follow at Osborne Cemetery. The family of Earl Salyers Jr. will receive friends at London Funeral Home after 7:00 PM Saturday, May 05, 2018. Serving as pallbearers; Donald Proffitt, Rick Bruner, Stanley Wade Goforth, Tony Bruner, Jeff Baker, and Stephen Hood.
