Eugene Ward

Eugene Ward, age 89 of London, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. He was the step-father of Thelma Combs of London, Kentucky, the brother of Ernest Ward of London, Kentucky and Jessie Mae Walker of Virginia. He is also survived by his grandson he raised as his own, Roy Combs and wife Dayla of London, Kentucky, by his grandchildren, Tim Combs, and Homer Combs Jr. both of London, Kentucky, Ralph Combs and wife Tina of Cleveland, Ohio, by his great-grandchildren, Tanner Combs, Abbie Combs, Libby Combs, Ally Combs, Andrew Combs, Ciera Combs, Bradley Combs, Nick Farley and Sonny Farley, and by his great-great-grandchild, Jayla Combs. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nannie (Saylor) Ward, by his step-children, Ralph Combs and Audrey Farley, by his parents, Chester Ward and Catherine (Morgan) Ward, by one granddaughter, Bessie Farley, and by five siblings, Ray Ward, Virgil Ward, Noralee Hensley, Rosalee Eldridge, and Johnny Ward. He was a retired Laurel County Board of Education School Bus Driver, and a member of Freedom Christian Fellowship. Funeral Services for Eugene Ward will be conducted 7:00 PM Friday, December 15, 2017 in London Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jerry Lewis officiating. A private burial will follow Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Dunn Cemetery. The family of Eugene Ward will receive friends at London Funeral Home from 4:00 PM Friday, December, 15, 2017 until the funeral hour.Read Obituary
