Nora Lee Nelson, age 90, of London, Kentucky passed away Friday, April 27, 2018 at her residence. She was the mother of James Donald Nelson Jr. of London, Kentucky and Luther Neal of Waynesville, Ohio, the sister of; Imogene Lamb, Steve Fields, Dale Murphy, and Sandy Murphy all of Waynesville, Ohio, Geneva Blossett of Haines City, Florida, Freda Murphy of Butler, Kentucky and Pauline Miller of Florence, Kentucky. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Donald Nelson Sr., by her parents, Jess Moore and Ella Mae (Smith) Murphy, by four children, Judy Hammons, David Neal, Francis Branstetter, and Norma Jean Madden, and by her sister, Edith Lewis. There will be no visitation or funeral for Nora Lee Nelson.London Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.Read Obituary

When we look up into the night sky, it is possible to "see" stars that no longer exist- a phenomenon which has long fascinated me. This is possible because of the extreme brightness with which the star shown and the long travel time it takes for the light to travel from the star to our eyes. I believe there are people who share this beautiful quality. After they are gone, their light, through the love and kindness they invested in others, can still be seen shining bright. Grandma was one of these people. I will miss her and continue to appreciate her light every day. Jeremy
