Opal Myrtle Bales

Opal Myrtle (Broyles) Bales, age 96, of London, Kentucky passed away Friday, November 24, 2017 at Christian Care Center in Corbin, Kentucky. She was the mother of Jimmy Bales and wife Robin of London, Kentucky, Clyde Bales and wife Peggy of Springfield, Missouri, and Judy Price and husband Phil of Harrisburg, Missouri; the sister of Odie Potts of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky, Bill Broyles and Frank Broyles both of Enon, Ohio. She was also the mother-in-law of Mae Bales of Corbin, Kentucky, and Alta Bales of London, Kentucky. She was also blessed with twelve grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Gilmore Bales; by three children, Clarence William Bales, Denny Clark Bales, and Carolyn Jean Bales; by her parents, W.C. Broyles and Ella Mae (Owens) Broyles; by her siblings, Ruby Estes and Johnny Broyles. Funeral services for Opal Myrtle (Broyles) Bales will be conducted Sunday, November 26, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in London Funeral Home Chapel with Claude Maggard and Roy Hamblin officiating. Burial will follow at Locust Grove Cemetery. The family of Opal Myrtle (Broyles) Bales will receive friends at London Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until the service hour on Sunday, November 26, 2017.
