Vernon Lee Holt, age 88 of London, Kentucky passed away Monday, July 03, 2017 at Saint Joseph London Hospital. He was the father of Margaret Posey and husband David of London, Kentucky, the brother of Florence Rookard and husband Jack, and Casper Holt and wife Pearl all of London, Kentucky. He is also survived by his granddaughter, Katie Posey of London, Kentucky; and by his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bob and Margie Massie of London, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Ann (Massie) Holt, and by his parents, Riley Holt and Ora Jane (Barrett) Holt. Funeral Services for Vernon Lee Holt will be conducted 1:00 PM Thursday, July 06, 2017 in London Funeral Home Chapel with Bart Jones and Joseph Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow at A.R. Dyche Memorial Park with DAV Chapter 158, Keavy, in charge of military honors. The family of Vernon Lee Holt will receive friends at London Funeral Home from 11:00 AM Thursday, July 06, 2017 until the funeral hour. I am so sorry that I couldn't attend,pinched nerve took over. VERNON was my friend .He was always the same every time I saw him. Many years ago when he was at George Hackers he and I became friend when I was going through bad time in my life, He would joke laugh at and with me the world has lost a great man ,and HEAVEN has a wonderful sole.
