Ada Whitis

Ada Whitis age 85, of London, Kentucky passed away Saturday, September 26, 2020 at St. Joseph London Hospital. She was the mother of Henry Whitis and wife HiDe of London, Kentucky; the sister of Stanley Martin and wife Shirley of Hamilton, Ohio; the step-mother of Rose Benge and husband O’Dell of London, Kentucky. She is also survived by a special friend, Berlin Whitis of London, Kentucky. She was also blessed with fifteen grandchildren, Windi Evans, Brandon Whitis, Trae Whitis, Denny Whitis, Amy Brown, Jarred Osborne, Jayson Osborne, Charlene Vaughn, Angel Westerfield, Rocky Shepherd, Rick Shepherd, Jerry Whitis, Lisa Smith, Jeff Whitis, and Christy Nantz; by thirty-two great grandchildren; and by eighteen great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Mack Vernus Whitis; by her parents, Mack and Lillie (Proffitt) Martin; by her siblings, Willie Martin and Roy Martin; by two stepsons, Raymond Whitis and Claude Whitis; and by three grandchildren, Lindsey Denise Whitis, O'Neal Strickland, and Tammy Michelle Cheek. Funeral services for Ada Whitis will be conducted Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. in London Funeral Home Chapel with Wayne House and Claude Gilbert officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery in London, Kentucky. The family of Ada Whitis will receive friends at London Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the service time on Saturday, October 3, 2020. Serving as pallbearers will be: Brandon Whitis, Trae Whitis, Jarred Osborne, Jayson Osborne, Zach Whitis, Cole Osborne, Montgomery Whitis, and Landon Wells.Read Obituary
