Albert Davis Jr.

Albert Davis, Jr., of London, Kentucky passed away Friday, April 19, 2019 at Somerwoods Nursing and Rehab in Somerset, Kentucky. He was the father of Jennifer Davis of London, Kentucky; the brother of Priscilla Elaine Smith of London, Kentucky, Laura Lee Davis and husband Kenneth, and Lydia Ruth Neal and husband Gary all of Corbin, Kentucky, Anna Bea Davis of Hazard, Kentucky, Louise Boggs and husband Ray, and Maxine Davis Johnson and husband Barry all of Lily, Kentucky. He is also survived by a son he raised as his own, Jared Busker and wife Chrissy of Somerset, Kentucky, plus a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years from Nottingham, England, Ann (Harvey) Davis; by his parents, Oscar and Erma Lillian (Champlin) Davis; by his siblings, Ed Davis, Harold Davis, Charlotte Helton, and Grace Tucker. He was a Member of Carmichael Community Church, a Retired London City Police Officer, a Veteran of the United States Air Force, a London Deputy Sheriff, and a Member of Laurel County Fire Dept. and Rescue Squad. Funeral services for Albert Davis, Jr., will be conducted Monday, April 22, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in London Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeff Lewis and Tyler Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Cumberland Memorial Gardens with DAV Chapter 165, McKee, Kentucky in charge of military honors. The family of Albert Davis, Jr., will receive friends at London Funeral Home from 12:00 noon until the service hour on Monday, April 22, 2019.
