Angie Cheek Campbell, age 66, wife of Wendell Campbell of East Bernstadt, Kentucky passed away Sunday, August 9, 2020 at her residence. She was the mother of James Shannon Cheek and wife Barbara of East Bernstatdt, Kentucky, and Jennifer Lynn Meadors and husband John of Corbin, Kentucky; the daughter of Kitty (Rivers) Ornduff Haddix of Dayton, Ohio; the sister of Debbie Ornduff, Bruce Ornduff, and Dana Ornduff all of Dayton, Ohio, Beverly Spencer and Rita Ornduff both of Campton, Kentucky. She was also blessed with four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, James Ray Ornduff; by one son, Robert Wendell Campbell; and by one sister, Connie Ornduff. Funeral services for Angie Cheek Campbell will be conducted Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in London Funeral Home Chapel with John Tuttle, Denny McCowan, and Travis Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at Carter Cemetery. The family of Angie Cheek Campbell will receive friends at London Funeral Home after 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 11, 2020. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to: Shriners Children Hospital, 110 Conn Terrace, Lexington, Kentucky 40508, or the American Cancer Society. The family respectfully requests that all visitors wear a mask and adhere to social distancing recommendations. Serving as pallbearers will be: Hayden McKeehan, Caleb Whittemore, Dion Mayne, Jerry Bowling, Geordi Bowling, Billy Hinkle, and Austin Mounce. So sorry to hear about Angie. Prayers goes out to the family. Angie helped with me in elementary school. Loved her so much when I was little. She helped with field trips.
I called her "Angie Baby" and have so many memories of this precious soul. God Bless her family and friends.
A bunch of us girls in high school spent the night with Angie at her grandmothers house. We had so much fun. It was a night and day I have never forgotten. We laughed about out shenanigans that night, every time we saw each other. I have always considered her my friend and I know she felt the same. I will remember the jolly, goofy person she was when we were together.
