Bernard Lewis

Bernard Lewis, age 88, husband of 57 years of Opal (Thompson) Lewis of London, Kentucky passed away Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Saint Joseph London Hospital. He was the father of Wanda Mullins of Scottsburg, Indiana, and Debora Lewis and Douglas Lewis both of Florida; the brother of Bessie Shepherd of Happy, Kentucky. He was also blessed with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Ollie Mae (Johnson) Lewis; by his siblings, Claude Lewis, Carl Lewis, Ovie Combs, Noely Brock, Flo Akers, and Rose Akers.He was a long time member of Mt. Zion Church of Christ.Graveside services and entombment for Bernard Lewis will be conducted Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Cumberland Memorial Gardens with Jerry Brown and Arvil Baker officiating. A procession will be leaving London Funeral Home at 12:30 p.m. for those who wish to follow. There will be no visitation. London Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
