Bobby Gene Gilkey

Bobby Gene Gilkey, age 80, husband of Joyce A. (Fields) Gilkey of East Bernstadt, Kentucky passed away Monday, September 4, 2017 at Saint Joseph London Hospital. He was the father of Christopher Gilkey and Holly King both of East Bernstadt, Kentucky, Scott A. Gilkey of London, Kentucky, and Gene Holmes of Idaho Falls, Idaho; the brother of Bernice Dunning and Jimmy Dale Hunt both of Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He was also blessed with seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Gilkey and Melissa (Cowell) Gilkey; by his siblings, Walter Gilkey, Sophia Turner, William Gilkey, Oralee Lewis, Lola Palowich, Christine Horn, Cleo Gilkey, and Boyd Gilkey. Funeral services for Bobby Gene Gilkey will be conducted Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in London Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Paul Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at King-Gilkey Cemetery. The family of Bobby Gene Gilkey will receive friends at London Funeral Home from 12:00 noon until the service hour on Saturday, September 9, 2017.Read Obituary
