Boyd Dean House, 69 of London, passed away Tuesday, May 1st 2018 at the Heritage Nursing Home in Corbin, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert "Sid" House and Wilma Napier House. He is survived by a special friend, Doris Larimer of London, Kentucky; her children Kim of Lexington, Kentucky, and Penny and husband David Walker and their son, Tanner of London, Kentucky; also by two special aunts, Gerry House of Hamilton, Ohio, and Kathleen Patton of London, Kentucky. He was also blessed with a host of special cousins and special friends that helped during his illness. He was a graduate of London School. He also graduated from Sue Bennett College and Cumberland College. He majored in sociology. Dean was the proud owner of the family business, House's Restaurant located in the city of London after his parents passing he ran the day-to-day operations of the family business for many years. House's was known for famous hotdog chili and great food served daily. Dean loved attending church singings and was a member of the Firm Foundation gospel singing group. He was of the Baptist faith. Dean loved attending ballgames with his special friend Michael Goforth. They would travel to watch the Cincinnati Reds play. He was an avid sports fan of baseball and basketball. He kept score and stats for Sue Bennett and Cumberland College. He also attended many South Laurel basketball games and loved to watch U.K. play. Dean was a resident of Carnaby Square apartments in later years. He suffered kidney problems and was on dialysis for many years. The family is grateful for the prayers that went out for Dean during his illness. Funeral services for Boyd Dean House will be conducted Friday at 2:00 p.m. in London Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ernie Wyatt of Somerset, Kentucky and Michael Goforth officiating. Burial will follow at A.R. Dyche Memorial Park. The family of Boyd Dean House will receive friends at London Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour on Friday. Pallbearers will be: Bruce House, Jim House, David House, Kyle Wyatt, Larry Cupp, and David Walker. Honorary pallbearers will be: John Kennett and Wayne Patton.
