Capitola Faye "Cappy" Watkins

Capitola Faye “Cappy” Watkins, age 91, of London, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at Saint Joseph London Hospital. She married Aubrey James Watkins on December 31, 1947, and he preceded her in death on March 15, 1989. She was the mother of Bonnie Faye Stewart and husband Bill, Dale Anna Robinson and husband Kenneth, and James Edward Watkins all of London, Kentucky; the sister of Ina Mae Jones and husband Andrew of Lexington, Kentucky, and Shirley Eunice Smith of London, Kentucky. She is also survived by a dear friend, Luke Lykins of Brodhead, Kentucky; and by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a whole host of friends. She was baptized in the name of Jesus and she had a strong belief that he died so she could have eternal life. She spent many hours studying her Bible to improve her understanding of the scriptures. She was a very caring and generous person. She was constantly doing things to help others who needed a little extra. Besides her spouse, she was also preceded in death by her parents, Adolph John Fluckiger and Josephine Eliza (Gibbs) Fluckiger; and by her siblings, Rosetta Rea Fluckiger, Simon Adolph "Pete" Fluckiger, Arietta Marie "Blondie" Willis, and Mavis Geraldine "Gerry" Ford. Funeral services for Capitola Faye “Cappy” Watkins will be conducted Friday, June 26, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in London Funeral Home Chapel with Delmer Gross and Dennis Gibbs officiating. Burial will follow at A.R. Dyche Memorial Park. The family of Capitola Faye “Cappy” Watkins will receive friends at London Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the service time on Friday, June 26, 2020.Read Obituary
