Carolyn N. Westerfield

Carolyn N. Westerfield, age 70, wife of James H. Westerfield of London, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at her residence. She was the mother of Jami Rudder and husband Henry of London, Kentucky; the sister of Carlos Napier of Somerset, Kentucky, Virginia Watson of Frankfort, Kentucky, Fannie Spurlock of London, Kentucky, Marie Baker of Batavia, Ohio, Shirley Schaffer of Utica, Michigan, and Gladys Gouge of Fairfield, Ohio. She was also blessed with three grandchildren, Megan Parsley of London, Kentucky, Sarah Bryant of East Bernstadt, Kentucky, and Kaitlin Rudder of Harrogate, Tennessee; and by one great grandchild, Creed Asher Bryant. She was preceded in death by her parents, Reuben and Mae (Lewis) Napier; and by her siblings, Earl Napier, Rose Fields, and Edna Morgan. She was a Charter member of The Lady's Slipper Garden Club, served as Club President and treasurer numerous times, as Mt Laurel District Director, The Garden Club of Kentucky treasurer, as Ways and Means Chairman and as a member of the Board of Trustees of the State Headquarters for the Garden Club of Kentucky, as a national chairman for National Garden Clubs, Inc. Currently she served as State Corresponding Secretary, and Mt. Laurel District Treasurer. Carolyn was a respected and valued member of every level of garden club organization from her local club, to the district, state, and national levels. Funeral services for Carolyn N. Westerfield will be conducted Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in London Funeral Home Chapel with Johnathan Carmack and Eric Richardson officiating. Burial will follow at Cumberland Memorial Gardens. The family of Carolyn N. Westerfield will receive friends at London Funeral Home from 12:00 noon until time of service on Saturday, September 5, 2020.Read Obituary
