He was the father of Shelly J. Hyatt and husband Lonnie of Johnson City, Tennessee, Charles Timothy Jones and wife Mary of Watertown, Tennessee, and Misty Lynn Jones of London, Kentucky; the brother of Faye Overbey of Indianapolis, Indiana, Jean Eades of Oregon, and Alice Tincher and husband James of London, Kentucky. He was also blessed with seven grandchildren, Brittany H. Yancey and husband Jim, Cassidy Hyatt, Ryan Collins and wife Kristian, Chanda Collins, and Timmy Jones, Zach Jones and wife Rose and Madison Williams and six special great-grandchildren, Levi Yancey, Harper Taylor, Olivia Collins, Matthew Carpenter, Amelia Carpenter, and Kinsley Yaden. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sue (Tincher) Jones; by his parents, John Reuben and Nancy E. (Brown) Jones; by his siblings, Malcolm Jones, James Jones, Nancy Whitehead, Maudie Mae Pruitt, Arnold Jones, Tilford Jones, infant brother John Nelson Jones, and infant brother, Ethel Ray Jones.He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, a member of Weaver Baptist Church, and a lifetime member of VFW.Private funeral services for Charles Reuben Jones will be conducted Monday, September 6, 2021 in London Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ronnie Owens, Pastor Randy Philpot, and Zach Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Bruner Cemetery with American Legion Post 88 in charge of military honors. Private visitation for Charles Reuben Jones will be for family only.Serving as pallbearers will be: Zach Jones, Timmy Jones, Jim Yancey, Jesse Carpenter, Matthew Carpenter, Rivers Adkins, Travis Adkins, and Jonathan Adkins.The family requests that all family members wear a face covering.In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to your local VFW.Read Obituary
