Dean "Doe" Hurley

Dean “Doe” Hurley, age 77, husband of 53 years of Darlene (Hampton) Hurley of London, Kentucky passed away Monday, November 1, 2021 at Saint Joseph London Hospital. He was the father of Brandon Hurley and wife Raye of Frankfort, Kentucky and Deana Hurley Burns of Louisville, Kentucky; the brother of Gladys Oakley, Wanda Cloud, and Yvonne Tuttle all of London, Kentucky, and Gertrude Schafer of DeWitt, Iowa. He was also blessed with five grandchildren, Bentley Dean Hurley, Jace Hurley, Ella Hurley, Logan Hurley, and Jack Burns. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Edna (Phelps) Hurley; by his siblings, Barbara Howard, Eugene Hurley, Paul Hurley, and Ralph Hurley.He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in Vietnam, and a retired machine technician for American Greetings.Funeral services for Dean “Doe” Hurley will be conducted Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in London Funeral Home Chapel with Garnett Tuttle officiating. Burial will follow at Old Salem Cemetery with DAV Chapter 158 Keavy in charge of military honors. The family of Dean “Doe” Hurley will receive friends at London Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday, November 4, 2021.Serving as pallbearers will be: Glenn Hampton, Kenneth Bruner, Jerry Hampton, Wayne Allen, Rick Elkins, Freddy Hurley, and Ralph Cloud.Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Burns, Bronson Allen, and Billy Hurley.Read Obituary
