Demps Taylor, Jr., age 73, husband of Carolyn (Spurlock) Taylor of Lily, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2021. He was the father of Jack Taylor and wife Jill of Richmond, Kentucky and Paul Taylor and wife Mandy of Corbin, Kentucky; the step-father of Jonathan Jordan and wife Amy of Lily, Kentucky; the brother of Doyle Taylor, Dorotha Widener, Patricia Goodin, and Sandra Davis all of Corbin, Kentucky, and Wayne Taylor of Lily, Kentucky. He was also blessed with nine grandchildren, Morgan Taylor, Madeline Taylor, Jackson Taylor, Aleigha Taylor, Alexis Grace Taylor, Carson Taylor, Matthew Trace Jordan, Charles Todd Reed, and Beve Dwayne Begley; and two great-grandchildren, Addison Faith Begley and Jaiden Dwayne Begley. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lucy (Hampton) Taylor; by his parents, Demps Taylor, Sr. and Grace (Jones) Taylor; by his siblings, Lloyd Taylor, Paul Taylor, and Barbara Storms.Funeral services for Demps Taylor, Jr. will be conducted Friday, July 2, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in London Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Brent Carroll and Bob Goodin officiating. Burial will follow at Old Salem Cemetery with DAV Chapter 158 Keavy in charge of military honors. The family of Demps Taylor, Jr. will receive friends at London Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Friday.Serving as pallbearers will be: Jackson Taylor, Carson Taylor, Matthew Jordan, Todd Reed, Ronnie Joe Bright, and Lonnie Hampton, Jr.Read Obituary
