Edna Jane Hammons

Edna Jane Hammons, age 92, of London, Kentucky passed away Sunday, September 27, 2020 at St. Joseph London Hospital. She was the mother Herbert Wayne Hammons of Baltimore, Maryland, Dean Hammons, Karen Faye Hammons, James Allan Hammons, and JoAnn McHone all of London, Kentucky. The sister of Virginia Westerfield and Mary Helen Smith both of London, Kentucky. She was also blessed thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two children, Ernest Clay Hammons and Sharon Kay Hammons; her parents, Leonard and Laura (Buttrey) Martin; and by her siblings, L.P Martin, Leander Martin, Herbert Hoover Martin, Robert Franklin Martin, Thelma Gladys Burkhart, Geneva Philpot, Audrey Seeley, and Ada House. Funeral services for Edna Jane Hammons will be conducted Friday, October 2, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in London Funeral Home Chapel with Cecil Benge and Phillip Proffitt officiating. Burial will follow at Martin Cemetery in Clay County. The family of Edna Jane Hammons will receive friends at London Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Friday, October 2, 2020.
