Elbert Woods, age 64, of Hyden, Kentucky passed away Monday at Whitesburg ARH Hospital in Whitesburg, Kentucky. He was the father of Abner Woods and wife Kimberly of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky; the brother of Vicky Collett of Leslie County, Kentucky and Frederick Woods of Dayton, Ohio. He was also blessed with one grandchild, Ethan Woods. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bulah Woods; by his siblings, Jean "Phyllis" France, Evelyn Sizemore, Vernon "Ruck" Woods, William Woods, Peggy Sue Fritz, Ruby Woods, and Zuba Woods.A Gathering of Remembrance for Elbert Woods will be conducted Saturday, August 28, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church, 771 Grace Loop Road, Roundstone, Kentucky. My Dad taught me everything growing up He was always there for me and his Grandchildren Launa, Logan and Lilly he adored them with his entire world. My dad was the strongest man I know. He could bare the weight of everything. We didn't always have it easy and nothing ever came easy. He worked his hands to the bone to give us the life we had growing up. He tough me so much. He did the best concrete anyone would ever see! He did his very last finish here at my house with his hand print stamped I will forever cherish that. Those People may strip our material memories from his home etc but, they will NEVER take away my title or the time we had making all those memories! My Dad was a good man and he will never be forgotten by my family. He is in a better place now and watching over us R.I.H Dad I love you
