Flora Edna Newland, age 78, wife of Blaine Newland of London, Kentucky, passed away Thursday at her residence. She was the mother of Leonard Collier of Lily, Kentucky, Randy Lee Collier of London, Kentucky, step-mother of Blaine Newland Jr., of Portage, Wisconsin, Carmen Terry of Rapid City, South Dakota, Erin Newland of Lagrange, Kentucky, and the sister of Lois Helton of Corbin, Kentucky. She was also blessed with thirteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Homer and Sarah (Weaver) Leddington, her siblings Navada Cox, James Leddington, Marie Krist, Earnest Leddington, Keith Leddington, Kenneth Leddington, Roy Leddington and Verlie Hodge, plus a host of family and friends. Funeral services for Flora Edna Newland will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 PM in London Funeral Home Chapel with preacher Donnie Oliver officiating. Burial will follow at Hopkins Cemetery. The family of Flora Edna Newland will receive friends at London Funeral Home from Tuesday at 11:00AM until the time of service.Read Obituary
I am so saddened to hear of Flora’s passing. We had such fun adventures in the 70’s when we lived across the street from each other. I loved her like a sister. My condolences to Blaine and the family and may God give you comfort in the days ahead
