Floyd Ivan Brummett, age 85, husband of Joyce (Herron) Brummett of London, Kentucky passed away Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Laurel Heights Home for the Elderly. He was the father of Anthony Brummett and wife Kim of London, Kentucky; the father-in-law of Brenda Brummett of Somerset, Kentucky. He was also blessed with five grandchildren, Makayla Brummett and husband Taylor, Brian Brummett and wife Akiko, Jason Brummett and wife Amanda, and Michael Ridings all of London, Kentucky, and Emily Brummett of Somerset, Kentucky; by seven great grandchildren, Austin Brummett, Justin Brummett, Sean Brummett, Case Brummett, Levi Brummett, Lillianne Ridings, and Ivory McDaniel. He was preceded in death by one son, Donny Brummett; and by his parents, Roy and Carrie (Cottongim) Brummett; and by his siblings, Bertha Parker, Fred Brummett, Robert Brummett, and Luther Brummett. He was a member of Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church, a 32nd Degree Mason of C.D. Ward Lodge #961 F&AM, and a Member of Oleika Shriners. Funeral services for Floyd Ivan Brummett will be conducted Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at 12:00 noon in London Funeral Home Chapel with Denny McCowan and Gary Parker officiating. Entombment will follow at Brummett Cemetery. The family of Floyd Ivan Brummett will receive friends at London Funeral Home after 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 with Masonic services by C.D. Ward Lodge #961 at 7:00 p.m. Serving as pallbearers will be Laurel County Sheriff's Department. The family respectfully requests that all visitors wear a mask and adhere to social distancing recommendations.
