Geraldine (Hopkins) Hampton

Geraldine (Hopkins) Hampton, age 81, of London, Kentucky passed away Monday, December 21, 2020 at Saint Joseph Hospital in London, Kentucky. She was the mother of James Richard Murray and wife Mary Ann of London, Kentucky, and Sheri Lynn Murray and spouse Ami of Muncie, Indiana; the step-mother of John Hampton and Mike Hampton; and the sister of Ruth Roark of London, Kentucky, and Clyde Hopkins of Lily, Kentucky. She was also blessed with two grandchildren, Zackery Murray and William Murray, and two great-grandchildren, Zaine Murray and Zander Murray. She is preceded in death by her first husband, James N. Murray; by her second husband, Samuel S. Hampton, Jr.; by her parents, Charlie and Mary Belle (McNew) Hopkins; and by her siblings, Edna Wells, Lila Miller, Edward Hopkins, Earl Hopkins, and Irene Hale. She was a homemaker, a member of Church of God in Jesus Name, and a member of Southeastern Kentucky Antique Tractor & Gas Engine Association. Funeral services for Geraldine (Hopkins) Hampton will be conducted Tuesday December 29, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in London Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow at Norvell Cemetery.
