Goldie Marie Proffitt

Goldie Marie Proffitt, age 92, of London, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at her residence. She was the mother of Dennis Proffitt and wife Sue, Wayne Proffitt and wife Wanda Sue, and Tim Proffitt and wife Sheila all of London, Kentucky; the sister of Ola Mae Hubbard, Bobby Overbay, Eljean Napier, and Sue Jackson all of London, Kentucky; the mother-in-law of Pat Proffitt of Burnside, Kentucky. She was also blessed with three grandchildren, Thomas Proffitt and wife Charlene, Regina Tolson, and Skyler Proffitt; and one great-grandchild, Noah Michael Hoskins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Proffitt; by her son, Lonnie Proffitt; by her parents, Steve and Eliza (Brummett) Overbay; by her siblings, Maymie Proffitt, Janie Swanner, Brenda Isaacs, Jim Overbay, and Zelma "Tuff" Proffitt. Funeral services for Goldie Marie Proffitt will be conducted Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. in London Funeral Home Chapel with Roy Hamblin and Johnny Schell officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery. The family of Goldie Marie Proffitt will receive friends at London Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday, March 26, 2022. Serving as pallbearers will be: Eddie Proffitt, Dean Proffitt, Steve Hubbard, Bobby Lee Overbay, Thomas Proffitt, and Noah Hoskins.
