Greta Bruner Gilbert

Greta (Bruner) Gilbert age 81 of London, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Laurel Heights Home for the Elderly. She was the mother of Kim Hooker Grant and husband Larry, Julian Keith Gilbert, Kelli Amanda Gray and husband Dean all of London, Kentucky, the sister of Naomi Swafford, Sharon Gabbard and husband Terry and Ronnie Bruner all of London, Kentucky. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jennings Gilbert, by her parents, James Bruner and Amanda (Smith) Bruner, and by one grandson, Jonathan Walton Hooker. Funeral Services for Greta (Bruner) Gilbert will be conducted 2:00 PM Friday, November 17, 2017 at Freedom United Baptist Church with Pastor Adam Hooker, Mathew Gilbert and Bro. Terry Gabbard officiating. Burial will follow at Freedom Cemetery. The family of Greta (Bruner) Gilbert will receive friends at London Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Thursday, November 16, 2017 and from 12:00 Noon Friday, November 17, 2017 until the service hour at Freedom United Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to; Laurel Heights Shepherds Cove Unit in Memory of Greta Gilbert, 208 W. 12th Street, London, Kentucky 40741.
