Hazel Marie Cheek

Hazel Marie Cheek, age 88, of Manchester, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at her residence. She was the mother of Ruth Gibson and husband James of Oneida, Kentucky, Della Lovins and husband Mike of Valparaiso, Indiana, Larry Melvin Cheek and wife Gail, and James Cheek and wife Sharon all of Manchester, Kentucky; and the sister of Homer Hampton and wife Ruth of London, Kentucky. She was also blessed with eight grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband William Nelson Cheek, her parents; Joseph and Emer (Garland) Hampton and by her siblings; Bill Hampton, Nancy Myrtle Proffitt, Cecil Proffitt, Annie McQuary, Mattie Minton, Jarvis Hampton, and an infant baby brother Georgie Hampton. Funeral Services for Hazel Marie Cheek will be conducted Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. in London Funeral Home Chapel with Phillip Proffitt, and Wade England officiating. Burial will follow in the Cheek Cemetery. The family of Hazel Marie Cheek will receive friends at London Funeral Home after 6:00 p.m. on Friday, February 5, 2021.
