Helen Hodge

Helen (Hurley) Hodge, age 90, of East Bernstadt, Kentucky passed away Sunday, September 27, 2020 at Jackson Manor in Annville, Kentucky. She was the mother of Gilbert Hodge and wife Brenda of London, Kentucky; the sister of Jimmy Hurley of London, Kentucky, Jakie Hurley of East Bernstadt, Kentucky, and Jewell Miller of London, Kentucky. She was also blessed with two grandchildren, Kristen Hodge of Houston, Texas, and Michael Anthony Maxey of London, Kentucky; by one great grandson, Ethan Maxey of London, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Tony A. Hodge; by her daughter, Linda Maxey; by her parents, Leander and Hattie (Campbell) Hurley; and by her siblings, Doris Cornelius, Dorothy Cornelius, Raleigh Hurley, Malcom Hurley, L.A. Hurley, Jr., Marvin Hurley, and June McCowan. She was a member of Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church of East Bernstadt, Kentucky, and Order of the Easter Star Golden Rule Chapter #111. Private graveside services and entombment will be conducted at Brummett Cemetery at East Bernstadt, Kentucky with Denny McCowan officiating. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to: Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church, 3561 Radford Road, East Bernstadt, Kentucky 40729. Serving as pallbearers will be: Marvin Hurley, Darrell Hurley, Keith McCowan, Marvin Carpenter, Jim Lewis, and Conley Combs. London Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.Read Obituary
