Hershal L. Childers, age 88, husband of Bobbie (Melton) Childers of London, Kentucky, passed away Monday, August 24, 2020 at his residence. He was the father of Bobbie Lee Schetler of Crestwood, Kentucky; the brother of Conley Childers of Georgia, Gary Childers of Knoxville, Tennessee, Patsy Farr of Buford, Georgia, and Wanda Sexton of Tampa, Florida. He was also blessed with one granddaughter, Elaine Marie Fisher of Crestwood, Kentucky; and by three great grandchildren, Jackson, Nolan, and Carson Fisher. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sherman Lee Childers and Amy (Jones) Childers; and by two sisters and three brothers. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Funeral services for Hershal L. Childers will be conducted Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at 12:00 noon in London Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Wagoner officiating. Burial will follow at A.R. Dyche Memorial Park. The family of Hershal L. Childers will receive friends at London Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday, August 26, 2020.Read Obituary

My favorite and second dad passed i was trying to get better to go visit seems it didn't happen pray for Hershels family that God will comfort them at the time of their loss
I will miss the greatest man I ever have known as a kid he use to always give me military hats every time I visited i have been in a health battle past 30 yrs now I barely walk i was trying to get better so I could visit i love each of you and offer my deepest sympathy for your loss you other son, Rudy
