Hester Smith

Hester (Wagers) Smith, age 77, of London, Kentucky passed away Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Saint Joseph London Hospital. She was the mother of Jim Chad Smith and wife Penny of London, Kentucky, Reece Smith and wife Teresa, Marlene Pennington and husband Charlie, Cheryl Smith and Sherry Smith all of Manchester, Kentucky, and Tammie Marcum of Tyner, Kentucky; the sister of America Napier of Manchester, Kentucky. She is also survived by her daughter-in- law, Mae Smith of London, Kentucky and by Robin Dale Lovins of Manchester, Kentucky whom she thought of as a son. She was also blessed with twenty-two grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenith Smith; by her children, Kim Smith, Veronica Smith, and Felisida Smith; by her parents, Charlie and Della (Jones) Wagers; and by her siblings, Chester Wagers, Steve Wagers, Jim Wagers, Romain Henson, Mary Ann Smith, and Juanita Henson.She attended Urban Creek Holiness and Old Pathway Pentecostal Church.Funeral services for Hester (Wagers) Smith will be conducted Thursday, March 3, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Old Pathway Pentecostal Church, Brandon Lane, London, Kentucky with Bro. James Wagers, Bro. Jerome Eversole, and Bro. Kenny Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Jehovah Shalom “The Lord Is My Shepherd” Cemetery. The family of Hester (Wagers) Smith will receive friends at Old Pathway Pentecostal Church after 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday until time of service on Thursday.
