James C. Hurley

James C. Hurley, age 84, husband of Doshia Mays Hurley of London, Kentucky passed away Monday, January 31, 2022 at his residence. He was the father of Mike Hurley and wife Brenda of London, Kentucky, and Marvin Hurley and wife Zoe of East Bernstadt, Kentucky; the brother of Jewell Miller and husband John of London, Kentucky, and Jakie Hurley and wife Wilma of East Bernstadt, Kentucky; the step-father of Robbie Hatcher and wife Rita of East Bernstadt, Kentucky. He was also blessed with four grandchildren, Brooklyn Hooker and husband Adam and Brittany Hopkins and husband Joseph all of London, Kentucky, Casey Hatcher and wife Sidney of Versailles, Kentucky, and Logan Hurley and wife Tori of Louisville, Kentucky; and by eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife; Irene Parker Hurley; by his daughter, Marlene Hurley; by his parents, Leander and Hattie Campbell Hurley; by his siblings, Doris Cornelius, Dorothy Cornelius, Raleigh Hurley, Malcolm Hurley, L.A. Hurley, Jr., Marvin Hurley, June McCowan, and Helen Hodge.He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church of East Bernstadt, Kentucky, a 32nd Degree Mason, and a ShrinerFuneral services for James C. Hurley will be conducted Thursday, February 3, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in London Funeral Home Chapel with Denny McCowan, Adam Hooker, and Logan Hurley officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. The family of James C. Hurley will receive friends at London Funeral Home from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday, February 3, 2022.Serving as pallbearers will be: Logan Hurley, Joseph Hopkins, Robbie Hatcher, Casey Hatcher, Marvin Carpenter, and Gary Adams.Read Obituary
