Jerry Matthews

Jerry Matthews, age 62, of Woodbine, Kentucky, companion of Marie Smith, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017 at his residence. He was the father of Jerry Wayne Matthews of Cookeville, Tennessee, Victor Smith and wife Terri of Woodbine, Kentucky, Carol Sue Turner and husband Roy of Sweetwater, Tennessee, and Crystal Roberts and husband Randall of Manchester, Kentucky; the brother of Johnny Lee of Alabama, Ricky Lee, Janice Lee, and Patricia Lee all of Cookeville, Tennessee, Barbara Lee of Arizona, Gail Lee and husband Doug of Chicago, Illinois, and Rose Lee and husband Jackamino of Florida. He was also blessed with nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gary Lee and Evelyn (Matthews) Lee. Funeral services for Jerry Matthews will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Jacks Creek United Methodist Church in Leslie County, Kentucky with Robert Lee Hacker and Chuck Jack officiating. Burial will follow at Collett Cemetery, Leslie County, Kentucky. The family of Jerry Matthews will receive friends at London Funeral Home after 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 and after 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Jacks Creek United Methodist Church. London funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements. Pallbearers will be: Charleston Smith, Randall Roberts, James Smith, Kendell Osborne, David Barrett, and Carl Madden.Read Obituary
