Jim Wagers, age 81, husband of Helen Morsch Wagers of London, Kentucky passed away Saturday, February 29, 2020 at his residence. He was the father of Chris Wagers and wife Pam, Carolyn Bowling and husband Herman, James Wagers and wife Karen, Tim Wagers and wife Melissa all of London, Kentucky, and Dennis Wagers and wife Jennifer of Manchester, Kentucky; the brother of America Gray and Romaine Henson both of Manchester, Kentucky, and Hester Smith of London, Kentucky. He was also blessed with four grandchildren, and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 57 years, Opal (Henson) Wagers; by his parents, Charlie and Della (Jones) Wagers; and by his siblings, Chester Wagers, Steve Wagers, Mary Ann Smith, and Juanita Henson. He was a member of Liberty Holiness Church, and member of Children Are Really Special (CARS). Funeral services for Jim Wagers will be conducted Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at East London Holiness Church with Jerry Holland, Jerry McKinley Holland, Jessie Kemp, Paul Mitchell, and James Wagers officiating. Burial will follow at Bowling-Wagers Cemetery. The family of Jim Wagers will receive friends at East London Holiness Church after 6:00 p.m. on Monday, March 2, 2020. Serving as pallbearers are: Timothy Wagers, Chris Wagers, Dustin Wagers, Nathan Wagers, Herman Bowling, James Kendall Wagers, Dennis Wagers, and Jimmy Henson. London Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
