Joann Woods, age 81, of London, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Rockcastle Regional Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky. She was the mother of Bernie Woods and fiancé Beth, and Jamie Beecham and husband James all of London, Kentucky; the grandmother of, Jaya Gilbert and husband Kevin, Jared Tengler, and Jalee Beechman all of London, Kentucky; the great grandmother of, Callie Gilbert of London, Kentucky; the sister of Barbara Cox of London, Kentucky, and Janice Acciardo of East Bernstadt, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Woods; by her parents, Ford and Rebecca Davis Carter. Funeral services for Joann Woods will be conducted Sunday, October 7, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in London Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Kirby. Entombment will follow at A.R. Dyche Memorial Park. The family of Joann Woods will receive friends at London Funeral Home from 12:00 noon until the service hour on Sunday, October 7, 2018. Serving as Pallbearers are Marshall Kellow, Gary Adams, Barry Adams, Dennis (Bub) Woods, Hobart Woods Jr., Sherman Howard. Honorary Pallbearers are Vernon Woods and Jimmy Ray.
