Joseph Robert “Bob” Bell, age 85, of Lily, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at Saint Joseph London Hospital. He was the father of Anthony Richard Bell and wife Lenora of London, Kentucky, and Wendell Robert Bell and wife Vickie of Lexington, Kentucky; the brother of Casey Bell of Florida, and Lila Maple of Louisville, Kentucky and Sarah Lenzy of California. He was blessed with three grandchildren; Austin Shane Bell and wife Magen of London, Kentucky, Shawna Marie Newport and husband Craig of Bardstown, Kentucky and Dustin Robert Bell and wife Tosha of Washington, D.C., by six great-grandchildren, and one great great grandchild; and by his Long Time Companion, Betty Sue Mills of Lily, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow Wilson and Ozzie Marie (Southwood) Bell; by his siblings, Aaron Bell, Carl Bell, Leeland Bell, Samuel Bell, Mac Bell, and Brenda Sears. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force, and member of the American Legion Post #88 of Corbin, Kentucky. Graveside services and burial for Joseph Robert “Bob” Bell will be conducted Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Locust Grove Cemetery with American Legion Post #88 in charge of military honors. The family of Joseph Robert “Bob” Bell will receive friends at London Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2020. Serving as pallbearers are: Ralph B. Steele, Austin S. Bell, Dustin Bell, and Craig Newport. Honorary pallbearers will be American Legion Post #88.Read Obituary

I could have been there, Chuck funeral was the last I saw Ding Dong. Will miss him.
Bob had a joke he loved to tell about the capital of Kentucky and how you pronounced it. I didn't know Bob for very long, but the year I knew him you could be sure he would make you smile.
Will be missed. A great guy
