Larry Philip Riley

Larry Philip Riley was born on September 16, 1953 in London, Kentucky to James and Edith (Word) Riley and went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 19, 2022. He accepted Christ at an early age and attended the North Main Street Christian Church of London, Kentucky. He was joined in marriage to Tonia Riley for 18 years and from this union of marriage two children were born Dannyal Baker and Antissa Riley both of Louisville, Kentucky. Larry also raised a special nephew David Gibson and wife Stephanie of Reno, Nevada. Larry attended London High School in his early years, and later graduated from Laurel County High School in 1972. After high school Larry attended technical college in Lawrenceburg, Virginia while employed at ConTel Corporation. After retiring from ConTel, Larry worked as landscaper with Minks Nursery. Throughout his life Larry was known to be the "Life of the party" because of his energetic and enthusiastic personality. He enjoyed family gatherings and watching his favorite teams, University of Kentucky and the Dallas Cowboys. Preceding him in death are his parents; one sister, Jackie Carson; four brothers, James Riley Jr., Fred Riley, Chester Riley and Berry Riley. Left behind to mourn his passing his two daughters and special nephew; four grandsons, Daniel Baker and wife Taylor, Dustin Baker, Joseph Riley and Will Gibson; three granddaughters, Morgan, Macy, and Mya Gibson and one great grandson Rhett Baker; two brothers, Delbert Riley and wife Carrie of Alexandria, Virginia, and Richard Riley and wife Alice of Mobile, Alabama; one sister, Peggie Berry and husband Marc of Finley, Ohio. Plus a host of other nieces and nephews, family and friends. Funeral services for Larry Riley will be conducted Saturday, August 27th, at 2:00 p.m. in London Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Paul Brewer and Bro. Mike Collier officiating. Burial will follow in the Pittsburg Cemetery. The family of Larry Riley will receive friends at London Funeral Home from 12:00 noon until the time of service on Saturday, August 27th, 2022. Serving as Pallbearers will be: Marlon Berry, Stan Riley, Demico Riley, Carson Bush, Jamison Carson, James Webb, David Gibson and Jheren Riley. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be: Owen Sitgraves, Andre Sitgraves, Jimmy Phelps, Johnny Phelps, Ellis Pennington and Larry Vanhook.Read Obituary
