Lillian (Rudder) Humfleet, surrounded by loving family, went to be with her Lord on Monday, December 27, 2021.Lillian was born Lillian Rudder, in London, Kentucky on December 31, 1939. She graduated from Lily High School, where she was a cheerleader. Later she married John Humfleet, also of London, who served in the Navy, and the couple and their young family served their country from Navy bases in Guam, Hawaii, Georgia and Maryland. In the 1990's. Lillian and John settled in Louisville, joining as early members of Southeast Christian Church. Over the years in Louisville, Lillian worked as a dental assistant, sang in the Southeast Christian choir, volunteered at Lifebridge Ministries and perfected her grandmother skills.Lillian was pre-deceased by her father and beloved mother, Lester and Eula Rudder, of London, as well as her brothers, Vernon and Vernus Rudder of London. She leaves behind her loving husband, John Humfleet, of Louisville, her sister Nola Hodges and husband Bob of London, her daughter Lisa Humfleet and husband Steve Provost of Dallas, Texas and her son Gary Humfleet and wife Donna of Jacksonville, Florida. Also surviving their "mama" are grandchildren Christina Maxwell and husband Phillip, Emily Magnuson and husband Joseph and Elisabeth Provost, all of Dallas. Lillian is also survived by grandchildren Ian Michael Humfleet of Jacksonville, as well as eight great-grandchildren: Halana Sizemore and Phoebe Humfleet of Jacksonville, Jack, Eloise, and Margaret Maxwell and Joseph jr., Jacqueline Frances and Stevie Magnuson of Dallas.Graveside services and burial for family and friends will be conducted Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Rough Creek Cemetery with Steve Provost officiating. There will be no visitation. Lillian was such a sweet friend. We shared so many laughs and prayers. She loved her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren so much. She will be so missed. Prayers for you all. Love Zena
