Lorene (Cornn) Byrd

Lorene (Cornn) Byrd, age 93, of London, Kentucky passed away Monday, July 19, 2021 at Laurel Heights Home for the Elderly. She was the mother of Beverly Marcum and husband Tim of Owenton, Kentucky. She was also blessed with two grandchildren, Marshall Tyler Harris and Ashton Marcum; and by one great-grandchild, Christian T.D. Harris. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Herman Byrd; by her children, Brenda Higgins and Bruce Wayne Byrd; by her parents, Ephriam Lee Cornn, Sr and Sarah Katherine (Jones) Cornn; by her siblings, Ephriam Lee Cornn, Jr., Opal Cornn, Lowell Cornn, Gil Cornn, Elmo Cornn, Harold Cornn, and Herschel Cornn.She was known as the "Card Lady" at Community Christian Church; she was also a girl scout leader, President of Homemaker's, and President of the PTA.Funeral services for Lorene (Cornn) Byrd will be conducted Thursday, July 22, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in London Funeral Home Chapel with Bart Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Locust Grove Cemetery. The family of Lorene (Cornn) Byrd will receive friends at London Funeral Home from 12:00 noon until the time of service on Thursday.Serving as pallbearers will be: Tim Marcum, Tyler Harris, Joey Marcum, Seth Marcum, Joe Donovan, and Garry Harvey.In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Activities Department at Laurel Heights Home for the Elderly.Read Obituary
