Lorene V. Crawford

Lorene V. Crawford, age 95, of London, Kentucky passed away Friday, May 21, 2021 at Laurel Heights Home for the Elderly. She was the mother of Bonnie Joseph and husband Jimmy of London, Kentucky; the mother-in-law of Cathy Grubb Crawford of Somerset, Kentucky. She was also blessed with five grandchildren: Hannon Crawford and wife Robin and Travis Crawford and wife Kristi all of Somerset, Kentucky, James Joseph and wife Sarah, Jay Joseph and wife Samantha, and Jessica Sizemore and husband Travis all of London, Kentucky; and by nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her nephews, Jerry Vanhoosier and wife Vicky of Nancy, Kentucky, Happy Rakestraw and wife Connie, and Hannon Rakestraw and wife Lisa all of Somerset, Kentucky; and by her nieces, Janet Stricklen and Anne Duncan and husband Oliver all of Somerset, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Talmage Crawford, Jr.; by her son, Thomas Crawford; by her parents, Elijah and Bonnie (Floyd) Vanhoosier; by her siblings, Clinton Vanhoosier, Delmer Vanhoosier, and Ray Vanhoosier; by her sister-in-law, Louise Orwin; by her niece, Louise Simpson; and by her nephews, Larry Vanhoosier and Roger Rakestraw.Lorene was an accomplished seamstress and attended the National 4H Competition in High School. She was an avid bridge player and loved all flowers. She was a member of First Baptist Church of London, Kentucky.Private graveside services and burial for Lorene V. Crawford will be conducted Monday, May 24, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. at Mill Springs National Cemetery in Nancy, Kentucky. There will be no visitation.
