Margaret Ann (Brown) Best, age 75, of East Bernstadt, Kentucky passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at Saint Joseph London Hospital. She was the sister of Veltra Moran of Berea, Kentucky, Geraldine Lambert and husband Charles of Indianapolis, Indiana, Belinda Gail Goggins and husband Keith of Lexington, Kentucky, Beatrice “Netta” Williams and husband Willie of East Bernstadt, Kentucky, William Edward Brown and wife Lori of Orlando, Florida, and Leslie Lee "Puch" Brown and wife Sherry of Hyattsville, Maryland. She is also survived by special friends who were like sisters, Diane, Wilda, and Evelyn, and Larry & Tina Scott who she called her children, plus a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and one uncle, George Viney of Lexington, Kentucky. Margaret loved the Lord and family. She read her Bible and studied Sunday School lessons every morning. She was a faithful member of Altamont Baptist Church where she once sang with the choir, She would always invite you to come to her church or attend Sunday School classes on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. or Bible study on Wednesdays at 4:00 p.m. via conference call since the Corona Virus. She also enjoyed crocheting. Margaret's catch phrase when you asked her how she was doing was "I'm Blessed"!! We miss you Margaret. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Richard Albert Best; by her son, Richard Alfondo Best; by her parents, Theodore Roosevelt Brown and Winnie (Andrews) Brown; and by her siblings, Carrie Wall, Victor Lewis Brown, Velt Brown, Jr., and Cecile Gertrude Herron. Funeral services for Margaret Ann (Brown) Best will be conducted Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in London Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Pittsburg Cemetery. The family of Margaret Ann (Brown) Best will receive friends at London Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Saturday, August 1, 2020. The family respectfully requests that all visitors wear a mask and adhere to social distancing recommendations.
