Click Here to View Livestream of the ServiceMargaret Ann Jones, age 93, of London, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Saint Joseph London Hospital. She was the mother of John "Jay" Paul Jones, II and wife Linda of Monticello, Kentucky and William Bryan Jones and wife Linda of Frankfort, Kentucky. She was also blessed with three grandchildren, Shelby Jones of Lexington, Kentucky, Lindsey Jones Armor of Cincinnati, Ohio, and William Jones of Lexington, Kentucky; and by one great granddaughter, Violet Moon Armor. She was preceded in death by her spouse, John Paul Jones; by her parents, William Bryan and Mary Love (Ransdell) Crossfield; and by her sister, Carolyn Angelotti. Margaret Ann Jones led by example and was a faithful servant to her church, family, career, and volunteerism. She started her career in 1950 as a laboratory technician at the former TB Hospital in London, after graduating from Transylvania University with a double major in Chemistry and Biology. She met her future husband shortly thereafter and got married in her hometown of Harrodsburg in 1953. After her sons were born and in school, she became a social worker for the Cabinet for Human Resources for many years. She enjoyed travel and visited all 50 states plus six continents. After retiring, she taught adult literacy at the public library. Next, she worked as a volunteer at London St. Joseph Hospital logging many hours. She attended First Christian Church throughout her adult life and served as an elder. Funeral services for Margaret Ann Jones will be conducted Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in London Funeral Home Chapel with Jonathan Carmack officiating. Burial will follow at Swiss Colony Cemetery. The family of Margaret Ann Jones will receive friends at London Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday.Serving as pallbearers will be: Jim Baker, Don Johnson, Eddie Jones, Jason Jones, Bobby Joe Parman, Jim Ridings, and Jim Meding.In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to: First Christian Church,303 North Main Street, London, Kentucky 40741.All families respectfully request that all visitors wear a face covering and adhere to social distancing recommendations.
