Mary Ella (Bunch) Hill

September 27, 1926 - March 2, 2022

Mary Ella (Bunch) Hill, age 95, of London, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Saint Joseph London Hospital. She was the mother of Larry Hill and wife Joy and Garry Hill and wife Shirley all of London, Kentucky; the sister of Elizabeth (Bunch) Gilbert of Pittsburg, Kentucky. She was also blessed with four grandsons, Chuck Hill of Frankfort, Kentucky, Garry Hill II of Gainesville, Florida, Greg Hill of London, Kentucky, and Jeremy Hill of Erlanger, Kentucky; and eight great-grandchildren, Logan, Devon, Mackenna, Gwen, Isaac, Lucy, Truman, and Jackie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Truman Hill; by her parents, Ranzy and Maude (Cox) Bunch; by her siblings, William Clifford Bunch, James Leroy Bunch, Kenneth Clayton Bunch, Daphine Bunch, and William Ranzy Bunch, Jr. She was a retired teacher for the Laurel County Board of Education where she taught at Pittsburg Elementary and was librarian at Colony Elementary and Johnson Elementary; a member of Pittsburg Christian Church, and an avid quilter and crocheter of beautiful quilts and afghans. Funeral services for Mary Ella (Bunch) Hill will be conducted Sunday, March 6, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in London Funeral Home Chapel with Roger Wolfe and Bernard Ward officiating. Burial will follow at A.R. Dyche Memorial Park. The family of Mary Ella (Bunch) Hill will receive friends at London Funeral Home after 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2022. Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons.
