She was the mother of Aaron Hacker of London, Kentucky; the daughter of Convol and Sue Davis of Corbin, Kentucky; and the sister of Scott Davis of Corbin, Kentucky; the aunt of Graycen Davis, Payton Hacker, and Taylor Hacker. Funeral services for Melinda (Davis) Hacker will be conducted Monday, August 26, 2019 at 2:00 PM in London Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Brad Parrett and Pastor Ronnie Ball officiating. Burial will follow at Laurel River Cemetery. The family of Melinda (Davis) Hacker will receive friends at London Funeral Home from 12:00 Noon until the service hour on Monday, August 26, 2019.Read Obituary

Melinda is a sweet gal!! She grew up with my daughter JoAnn and those to girls had some wonderful times, and heart ache as well. They saw each other through steps in their lives and was there for each other. My heart goes out to the family. Lord hear our prayers; in your mercy, bring us to your place of peace and light the soul of Melinda, whom you have summoned from this world. Call her to be numbered in the fellowship of your saints. I’ve known her and called her a friend since elementary school. Melinda loved to laugh and did so all the time when you talked to her. She was equal parts saucy, funny, tough, and tender-hearted. I’ll miss her and will certainly be praying for her family.

Eternal rest grant to her, O Lord; and let light perpetual shine upon her. May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Melinda has been a true friend from the day I met her. Over the years, she never wavered in her friendship. I could always depend on her. What a wonderful joy it was to share in her marriage to Mark and life as a mother to Aaron! I looked forward to the photo sessions of her sweet family. I looked forward to the lunch dates we planned to talk about how life was treating us and the plans we had for the days to come. I only wish there were more of those times. There are so many childhood and adulthood memories I have of Melinda that I could never keep count. It was a blessing and an honor to know her. I will never forget. The family will remain in my prayers in the rough days ahead.

Melinda has grown up in our home, her and JoAnn have been friends for many years. They went to school together and were each other maid of honors in their wedding. We always enjoyed Melinda when she was at our home, sitting around our dinner table, and hanging with JoAnn. They have seen each other through many wonderful times, and even the sad times, but they have been there for each other. We will miss you Melinda!! You are such a sweet gal!!. So sorry to Mark, Aaron and Mom and Dad.

I cannot possibly share the memories I have of Melinda - there’s so many - all the way back to Jr high school when I moved to KY. One of the sweetest people that I’ve ever known - I’ve been truly blessed to be able to call her my friend for all of these years. She will forever hold a special place in my heart! Lots of love sent to the heavens for her!
