Merle Travis Gumm

Merle Travis Gumm age 68, husband of Marie (Norton) Gumm of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017 at his residence. He was the father of Barbara Ogden and husband Dennis of Fayetteville, Ohio, Merle Vincent Lee Gumm and wife Leesa, Jerry Wayne Gumm and Michelle Johnson and husband Aaron all of Corbin, Kentucky; the brother of Mary Burnes and husband Lester, Debbie Botts, Gary Gumm and wife Teresa, Vivian Huey and husband Julian, Bridget Faught, Dewey Wright, and Vince Wright, all of Union City, Tennessee, Bill Gumm of Midland, Ohio, and Patty Prather of Trenton, Ohio. He was also blessed with six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Bartley Gumm and Grace Mae (Campbell) McManis; by one grandson, Daniel L. Ogden; by one sister, Maria Vissering. He was a Painter and Member of Oak Ridge Apostolic Church of Corbin, Kentucky. Funeral services for Merle Travis Gumm will be conducted Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in London Funeral Home Chapel with Julian Huey and Willard Creech officiating. Burial will follow at McQueen – Norton Cemetery. The family of Merle Travis Gumm will receive friends at London Funeral Home after 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 3, 2018.Read Obituary
