Michael Layne Gilbert, age 69, husband of Grace (Boggs) Gilbert of London, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at his residence. He was the father of Chastity Michelle Stringer and husband Jay of Norris, Tennessee, and Amelia Gilbert Binder and husband Barton of London, Kentucky; the son of Nellie Mae Turner Gilbert of London, Kentucky; and the brother of Martina Yantis and Brenda Greer both of London, Kentucky, and Annie Chesnut of Lexington, Kentucky. He was also blessed with two grandchildren, Milla Marie Binder and Jasper Layne Binder both of London, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his father, Martin Levi Gilbert. Graveside services and burial for Michael Layne Gilbert will be conducted Sunday, December 27, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Weaver Cemetery in London, Kentucky. London Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.All families respectfully request that all visitors wear a face covering and adhere to social distancing recommendations.
