Oliver Nelson Westerfield

Oliver Nelson Westerfield, age 85, loving husband of Virginia “V.D.” Martin Westerfield for 59 years and 179 days of London, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Saint Joseph London Hospital. He is also survived by two caring children; Cheryl Cornett and Rick Westerfield both of London, Kentucky, the brother of Ada White and Jim Westerfield both of Manchester, Kentucky and John Westerfield of Franklin, Ohio. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Jeff Cornett, Ashley Parker, Josh Westerfield, and Regan Westerfield, and by his great-grandchildren; Alexis Smith, Addison Parker, and Hudson Westerfield. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Westerfield and Laura (Cornett) Westerfield, and by three brothers; Edd Westerfield, R.G. Westerfield, and Jesse Westerfield Jr. He was a machine oiler for Caron Spinning Company for twenty-nine years, worked as a courier for ACS for two years, and also for Whirlpool in Hamilton, Ohio. He was a United States Army Korean War Veteran. Funeral Services for Oliver Nelson Westerfield will be conducted 3:00 PM Friday, July 28, 2017 in London Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Larry Paul Roark, Ron Harris, and Doug Burkhart officiating. Burial will follow at Cornett Cemetery, Fogertown, Kentucky with DAV Chapter 158 Keavy, in charge of military honors. The family of Oliver Nelson Westerfield will receive friends at London Funeral Home from 11:00 AM Friday, July 28, 2017 until the funeral hour.
