Opal (Gregory) Hodges

Opal (Gregory) Hodges, age 83, of London, Kentucky passed away Monday, December 13, 2021 at her residence. She was the mother of Betty Vaughn and husband Doug, and Gordon “Buck” Hodges and wife Kathy all of McKee, Kentucky, Sharon Banks and fiancé Michael Heuser, Shirley Hibbitts, and Beverly Huitt all of London, Kentucky; the sister of Rita Cormier of New Orleans, Louisiana. She was also blessed with eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Gordon "Sonny" Hodges; by her children, Vickie Hubbard and Roger Dale Hodges; by her parents, Hugh and Marie (Shelton) Gregory; and by her siblings, John Gregory and Johnny McQueen. She was a member of First Pentecostal Church of London, Kentucky.Funeral services for Opal (Gregory) Hodges will be conducted Thursday, December 16, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in London Funeral Home Chapel with James Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Swiss Colony Cemetery. The family of Opal (Gregory) Hodges will receive friends at London Funeral Home after 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 15, 2021.Serving as pallbearers will be: Brian Hodges, James Frank, Blake Hodges, Andrew Yaden, Deron Combs, Brody Hodges, and Bradley Vaughn.Honorary pallbearers will be: Buckie Hubbard, Bentley Hubbard, Brayden Hodges, and Tyler McGinty.Read Obituary
