Rose Allene Caldwell, age 72, wife of Glenn Caldwell, of London, Kentucky passed away Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Saint Joseph London Hospital. She was the mother of Jeffrey Wayne Lucas of Whitesburg, Kentucky, Gary Lynn Lucas of Mooresburg, Tennessee, Glenna Moria’ Morris of London, Kentucky, Juanita Caldwell of Rockhold, Tennessee, and David Caldwell of Newport News, Virginia; the sister of Cindy Honeycutt of Mayking, Kentucky, Jimmy Hatton and Beverly Ann Adams both of Whitesburg, Kentucky, and Shelia LaViers of Houston, Texas. She was also blessed with fifteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Junior Hatton and Betty (Coots) Hatton; by two sisters, Brenda Elswick and Debbie Bradshaw. Funeral services for Rose Allene Caldwell will be conducted Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in London Funeral Home Chapel with Norm Brock officiating. The family of Rose Allene Caldwell will receive friends at London Funeral Home after 6:00 p.m. on Monday, October 1, 2018.Read Obituary

I just learned today about Allene's journey to heaven. I was so sad. She was a loyal employee, and a delightful person. I loved her loving and joyful spirit.

My heart breaks with grief for Allene. Her beautiful and loving soul will be missed greatly. Though I can't be there to celebrate her life with you all, please know that I am praying the Spirit of the Lord bring you peace.

When I was a little girl, the older cousins told me that I reminded them of Allene when she was young. She loved that and laughed so hard. She told me to throw my head back and flip my hair at them when they gave me trouble, not to let anyone get the better of me. What wonderful advice. She had such joie de vivre that I wanted to be just like her. I carry memories of her laughter and hugs with me. I treasure them now even more.
