Sarah Adams

Mrs. Sarah Adams, age 90 of Mt. Vernon and widow of Alvin E. “Joe” Adams, died Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Laurel Heights in London. She was born May 19, 1927 in Lake, Laurel Co., KY to the late John V. and Julia Overbay Petree. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. She loved sewing, quilting, gardening and her grandchildren.Mrs. Adams is survived by her children: Roy and Judy Adams of Mt. Vernon and Gertha and Gary Mink also of Mt. Vernon; two brothers: Paul and Ilene Petree and Charlie Petree and one sister: Elsie Hubbard all of London. Also surviving are three grandchildren: Anthony Wade and Jennifer Mink of Florence, Roy Donovan and Ashley Adams of Fawbush and Eric Lee and Angie Adams of Mt. Vernon and four great grandchildren: Joel Mink, Joshua Mink, Sadie Elizabeth Adams and Madelyn Leanne Adams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Joe Adams; one brother: Robert Petree and one sister: Sally Adams.Read Obituary
