Virginia Carnes

Virginia Carnes, age 89, of London, Kentucky passed away Thursday, February 18, 2021 at her residence. She was the mother of Debbie Miller of Corbin, Kentucky, Joseph Carnes of London, Kentucky, Penny Miller of South Lebanon, Ohio, Margaret Ann McHan of Chatsworth, Georgia, and Bob Carnes of Shelbyville, Kentucky. She was also blessed with thirteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Noah Carnes; by her parents, Cecil and Ella (May) Smith; by her siblings, Della Teague, Ethal Green, and Tom Smith. Funeral services for Virginia Carnes will be conducted Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in London Funeral Home Chapel with Benny Bush officiating. Burial will follow at Carnes and Messer Cemetery at Dewitt. The family of Virginia Carnes will receive friends at London Funeral Home from 12:00 noon until the time of service on Thursday. Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends. All families respectfully request that all visitors wear a face covering and adhere to social distancing recommendations.
