Willetta (Michael) Holmes

Willetta Holmes, age 87, wife of Herman Holmes of London, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at her residence. She was the mother of Sharon Barrett of Lexington, Kentucky; the sister of James Michael and Sue Jones both of London, Kentucky. She was also blessed with two grandchildren, Lauren Mann and husband Brad of Hebron, Kentucky, and Brandon Barrett of Lexington, Kentucky; and by two great-grandchildren, Zak Barrett of Lexington, Kentukcy, and Taylor Mann of Hebron, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Holmes; by her parents, Victor and Mary (Bruner) Michael; and by one brother, Will Michael. Funeral Services for Willetta Holmes will be conducted Thursday, July 30, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in London Funeral Home Chapel for family only with Jonathan Carmack officiating. Burial will follow at A.R. Dyche Memorial Park.The family of Willetta Holmes will receive family and church family only at London Funeral Home on Thursday, July 30, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until the service time. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to: Julia Jackson Circle at First Christian Church, 303 North Main Street, London, Kentucky 40741. Serving as pallbearers are: Brad Mann, Gary Garland, Chris Fisher, Troy Smith, Sharon Barrett, and Brandon Jones. Honorary pallbearer will be Jack Bruner.
