Willis Devern Hale Sr.

Willis Devern Hale Sr., age 74, husband of Rhoda (Overbey) Hale of London, Kentucky passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017 at University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. He was the father of Donnie Hale and wife Jennifer, Lonnie Hale and wife Sally, Sheila Overbey and David, and Willis Hale Jr. all of London, Kentucky, the brother of Sharon Geck and Shirley Jean Chandler both of Indiana. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Austin Hale, Brittany Hale, Daniel Smith, Olivia Smith, and one great-grandchild on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hobart Hale and Julie (Taylor) Hale, and by two siblings; Willard Doyle Hale and Lowell Wayne Hale. He was a retired sanitation driver for the city of Portage, Indiana, and was a member of Union United Baptist Church. Funeral Services for Willis Devern Hale Sr. will be conducted 1:00 PM Sunday, October 22, 2017 in London Funeral Home Chapel with Roy Hamblin and Ted Eversole officiating. Burial will follow at Taylor Cemetery. The family of Willis Devern Hale Sr. will receive friends after 6:00 PM Saturday, October 21, 2017 at London Funeral Home.
